Our culture is totally child based and provides a friendly, safe, stimulating and caring environment for children aged 2 to 8 years old.
A fun and exciting range of activities and toys are provided so that the children can interact and play whatever their stage of development.
Funding at Leaps and Bounds
For children aged two, three and four years old funding can be used at Leaps and Bounds.
Each child is entitled to a total of 15 funded hours per week, per term.
All children are entitled to this funding the term after they turn 3 years old age. Their birthday must fall before the cut-off date in order to receive the funding the following term. These dates are:
- 31st August for the Fall term (September – December)
- 31st December for the Spring term (January – April)
- 31st March for the Summer term (May – August)
Please note that 2, 3 and 4 year old funding does have a nursery charge , this is to cover the costs of the snacks and meals within the sessions . We also charge for sports, yoga, trips and outings which are all optional costs.
We are open all year round so funding for these children attending all year the hours are spread on an extended hours which is 11 hours not 15 and for the 30 hours this is at 22 hours a week not the 30 hours. Please talk to a member of staff about the costs and funding hours if you have any questions or concerns.
Two-year old children could also qualify for up to 15 hours of free childcare each week. If you have a child who has or is turning two-years old plus one of the following applies to you:
- A household income of less than £16,190 per year
- Job Seeker's Allowance
- Income Support
- Employment and Support Allowance
Funded hours do not cover the costs for the snacks and meals, the snacks are charged at £3.75 :
- We offer breakfast and then fruit snack am session at £7.50
- Afternoon snack and then picnic dinner at £3.75 each so again £7.50 for the afternoon session
- Cost equates to £15 per day
- Other additional costs , yoga, sports and music sessions , trips and outings are also charged extra. These are all optional
- Extra hours are charged from £10 - £12.50
